Boulder’s Chautauqua announces summer concerts

The didgeridoo-playing musical force Xavier Rudd and his band will open the Chautauqua summer concert series, which also includes comedian Margaret Cho, Wynton Marsalis’ big band and songwriters’ hero Steve Earle.
The concert lineup is the biggest yet for the Colorado Chautauqua National Historic Landmark. Shows take place at the Chautauqua Auditorium at 900 Baseline Road, in Boulder.
Xavier Rudd & The United Nations are scheduled to perform at 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 2. Tickets are $35-$47.50. Concerts run through Sept. 19, when John Hiatt & The Combo perfrom with The Taj Mahal Trio.
Other artists on the lineup include Keller Williams & The Keels, The Weepies, Ry Cooder/Sharon White/Ricky Skaggs, Gordon Lightfoot, Boz Scaggs, Patty Griffin, Mavis Staples & Amy Helm, Indigo Girls, Peter Kater & R. Carlos Nakai, Ziggy Marley, Melissa Etheridge, Michael McDonald, Robert Cray Band and Punch Brothers.
