The Beach Boys’ Brian Wilson plays 1stBank Center in July

Brian Wilson, visionary of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees The Beach Boys, plans to perform at 1stBank Center in July.

The show is part of a tour in support of Wilson’s new album, No Pier Pressure, and includes an opening set by Rodriguez. Former Beach Boys Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin will join Wilson. The concert is scheduled for Wednesday, July 8.

The Beach Boys initially gained fame in the early 1960s for their irresistible surf-rock hits but the band evolved into an instrument for Wilson’s daring and exacting imagination. The Beach Boys album “Pet Sounds” remains influential almost 50 years after its release.
